Medieval Times: 24 hours in Ghent
After the kids first week of school, we hopped on the InterCity train to Ghent. Our Uber ride to Brussels main train station (Midi) was about as long as the train ride to Ghent. The weather for the day was decidedly Belgian - chilly and overcast in the morning, followed by some rain, and then cleared up for a nice evening. Getting to Ghent turned into a bit of an adventure as our tram into town had to stop as it was blocked by an exceptionally obnoxious parking job that blocked the track. After arriving to the hotel, we made a quick trip for frites that disappeared before I could get a picture.
